Michelangelo Verso passed away in Palermo on 18 September 2006.
His son Michelangelo Jr. wrote an homage to his dear father which you can read here.

Dear Music lovers if you like 'Belcanto'
 and want to know a piece of history and a bit about the life and career of an Italian Tenor
with a beautiful voice who:
sang with Beniamino Gigli, Maria Caniglia,
Cesare Bardelli, Carlo Morelli and many
others, was contracted at the Pittsburgh
Opera House, sang on the legendary
transatlantic liner Andrea Doria, recorded
many records for Columbia, Fonit, Cetra
and made a modest career almost all over the
world, then this will be the right place for you.
